The waves carve the shore with an eternal rhythm, each ebb and flow a measure of heaven and earth’s breath. Fish leap against the frothy tide, as if wrestling with impermanence; seals and seabirds stand motionless on rocks, indifferent like meditating Zen masters, contemplating this endless cycle of samsara. Oceans recede into dust, dust returns to oceans—only the tides remain, pulsating like the universe’s heartbeat.Yet humans are but a fleeting glimmer upon the waves, daring to chisel eternity into their own monuments. Today, the waves still rise, yet they carry plastic debris and the murk of pollution, eroding the azure dream. If we fail to kneel and listen to the sutras within the tides, the day will come when only humanity’s lonely footprints remain on the shore—and even these, with either compassion or indifference, will be gently erased by the cosmos.
